Vancouver, BC – March 5, 2025 – Vancouver FC has added a burst of speed and experience to its squad, officially signing dynamic fullback Kunle Dada-Luke ahead of the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season. The 25-year-old, known for his electric pace and relentless work ethic, makes the move from Pacific FC, where he cemented his reputation as one of the league’s most exciting wide players.
Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Dada-Luke’s soccer journey began at just two years old. He spent over a decade with West Toronto Soccer Club before joining the Toronto FC Academy in 2013. His early promise led to a stint with Toronto FC II, where he was named co-Young Player of the Year in 2018. A brief move to Denmark with FC Helsingør followed, but he soon returned home to Canada, where he found his footing in the CPL with Pacific FC. Over four seasons on Vancouver Island, he played a key role in the club’s 2021 championship run and surpassed the 100-appearance milestone, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s most reliable fullbacks.

“His experience, grit, and winning mentality will be invaluable to our young and exciting squad for the 2025 season. Dada-Luke will contribute on both sides of the ball with his power, speed, and tireless running on the flanks. We also expect him to play a key role in our leadership group, mentoring our younger players and helping them grow as professionals.” said head coach Afshin Ghotbi.
Off the field, Dada-Luke embraces his Nigerian heritage and credits his family’s journey to Canada as a driving force behind his work ethic. In past interviews, he has spoken about how his parents’ sacrifices motivated him to push himself both on and off the pitch. A fan-favorite in the CPL, his trademark headband and relentless energy have become a signature part of his game, making him instantly recognizable to supporters.

For the player himself, the move represents an exciting new chapter. “I’m excited to join Vancouver FC and be part of what this club is building,” said Dada-Luke. “The fans, the project, and the vision for the future all played a big part in my decision. I can’t wait to get started and give my all for the team.”
With preseason already underway, he is expected to integrate quickly into the squad ahead of Vancouver’s season opener in April. His arrival adds another layer of excitement for the club’s growing fanbase, who will be eager to see how his energy and leadership impact the team’s performance in its third CPL season.
