Vancouver FC sign all time CPL leading goalscorer Terran Campbell

Terran Campbell Returns Home: Vancouver FC Secures a Proven Goal-Scorer

Vancouver FC has made a bold statement with the signing of Terran Campbell, one of the most prolific strikers in Canadian Premier League (CPL) history. This move doesn’t just bolster Vancouver’s attack—it marks a homecoming for Campbell, a Vancouver native who has been lighting up the CPL since its inception. For local fans, this is more than just a signing; it’s the return of a player who knows what it takes to win, and he’s coming home to do just that.

“It feels good to be in Vancouver, it’s the place where it all started for me” said Campbell. “I’m excited to join Vancouver FC and I’m ready to give my all on the field.” he continued.

Campbell has built a reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous forwards. His breakout campaign came in 2019 with Pacific FC, where he became the first CPL player to score double-digit goals in a season, finishing with 11 goals. His influence stretched far beyond scoring—his strength, movement, and ability to link midfield to attack made him a pivotal figure. By 2021, he had played a central role in Pacific FC’s championship-winning campaign, helping the club claim its first CPL title.

After proving his worth at Pacific, Forge FC came calling. Campbell made the move in 2022, continuing his goal-scoring exploits, including a memorable hat-trick against York United in 2023. By the end of 2024, he had solidified his place as the CPL’s all-time leading goal scorer with 39 goals, a testament to his consistency and finishing ability.

Now, he returns to Vancouver FC, not just as a homegrown talent but as a proven winner. His experience, leadership, and hunger for success make him the perfect fit for a club looking to establish itself as a playoff contender in the CPL.

For Campbell, this move isn’t just about football—it’s about coming home. Raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, he honed his skills with South Burnaby Metro Club and Burnaby Selects SC before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy in 2011. His professional journey took him from Whitecaps FC 2 in the USL to Fresno FC, but it was in the CPL where he found his stride. Now, after years of traveling coast to coast, Campbell is back where it all began, ready to represent his hometown with pride.

One of the most exciting aspects of Campbell’s arrival is his reunion with Mexican striker Alejandro Díaz. The two played together at Pacific FC, forming a strike partnership that led the club to the 2021 CPL Championship. Díaz, a former CPL Golden Boot winner, brings technical brilliance and clinical finishing, while Campbell offers strength, hold-up play, and an eye for goal. Together, they form a formidable attacking duo, one that could make Vancouver FC’s frontline one of the most feared in the league.

Bringing Campbell back to British Columbia is about more than just goals—it’s about identity. Vancouver FC is making it clear that they want to compete, not just participate. Signing a player of Campbell’s caliber shows that they can attract top talent, retain homegrown stars, and build a squad capable of challenging for silverware.

“My goal this season is to help the team reach the playoffs and compete for a title.”  stated Campbell

With a player like Campbell leading the charge, Vancouver FC fans have every reason to believe that this season could be something special. His return is more than just a signing—it’s a statement of intent. The club isn’t just building for the future; they’re ready to make an impact now.

As the 2025 CPL season kicks off, expect Campbell to be at the heart of Vancouver FC’s playoff push. With his experience, leadership, and ability to find the back of the net, the future is looking bright for Vancouver FC.

The countdown is on. The stage is set. And Campbell is ready to write the next chapter of his career—right here, at home.
