The VFC captain registered 13 saves in the three April matches to lead the league in that category and collected a save percentage of .692 in that time. Irving was also named to the CPL Team of the Week in Weeks #2 and #3, the only goalkeeper to receive the honours twice in the 2023 season.
Vancouver FC stands as one of the clubs with the most laureated players in the Canadian Premier League’s 2023 season. In April, seven different VFC players were named to the Best XI and, previously, Gabriel Bitar topped CPL’s player rankings for the month of April.
