VFC launch the Eagle Kit as their 2024 Primary jersey

In just under a month, Vancouver FC will enter their sophomore campaign in style thanks to the club’s new Eagle Kit.

On Friday, Vancouver FC launched its 2024 primary uniform, which showcases the club’s founding elements of black and red accents, seen on the Macron and VFC logos.

While the shirt may appear simple from afar, the feathered cape design – which pays homage to the club’s brand inspiration and the first official mascot, The Bald Eagle –  is a rich reminder of community, identity and purpose while looking menacing on the pitch.

The club’s motto, “Something in the air,” inscribed in red on the back of the kit, further adds to the inspiration and intrigue of the shirt.

Despite not making the playoffs in its inaugural season, there truly is “Something in the air” at Vancouver FC this year, as Afshin Ghotbi’s squad is prepped and primed to fly high in the Canadian league the second time around. Using the offseason to strengthen its roster and coaching staff, the club is refreshed and clear in its identity – which is exactly what the new kit represents.

The club drew inspiration for their creative rollout from their namesake “The Bald Eagles” natural habitat in and around the Fraser Valley. The vast agriculture landscape, alongside the rolling hills and the dominating forestry.

A visit to Kensington Prairie Farm with Vancouver natives Paris Gee, David Norman, and James Cameron displays the grit and graft local players are set to bring to the pitch heading into their second season in the CPL. The juxtaposition between the wetlands, fields & High fashion vibe of the club is highlighted at this location.

VFC’s front line pairing of Mikaël Cantave and Gabriel Bitar can be seen visiting the Greater Vancouver Zoo, based in The Township of Langley. The offensive duo paid a visit to the Bald Eagle enclosure in an effort to promote local rescues, Meredith (Female, 29y) and Max (Male, 25y), both victims of wildlife based accidents and deemed non-releasable by the wildlife rescue organization. VFC will be working closely in collaboration with the Vancouver Zoo throughout the coming season to promote wildlife conservation regarding eagles in B.C.

The magnificent giants in Golden Ears Provincial Park set the scene for local lad T.J. Tahid in his hometown of Maple Ridge. The 16 year-old record breaker embodies many of the characteristics synonymous with the Bald Eagle pictured on his forearm, Hercules, the Bald Eagle from Pacific Northwest Raptors.
