VFC to play open door friendly against FVSL Stars

Langley, BC – Vancouver will compete against an all-star team made up of top talent from Fraser Valley Soccer League (FVSL) on Wednesday, Mar. 27, 2024. The match will be contested at Willoughby Community Park in Langley, B.C with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. PT. Admission to the match will be free.

This friendly comes after The Eagles most recent local matchup against VMSL stars last Wednesday. Goals from Alejandro Díaz and Zach Verhoven were the difference for VFC in a 2-1 victory. The match also saw a first appearance for new attacker Moses Dyer, the forward clocked 45 minutes before being one of many halftime substitutions.

Vancouver recently released the club’s primary kit for the 2024 CPL season, the Eagle Kit. The new kit will be worn again for Wednesday’s match against FVSL Stars on March 27th.

Vancouver kicks off its second season in the CPL when the Eagles host their season opener on Sunday, Apr. 14 against Valour FC. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET at Willoughby Community Park with tickets available to be purchased online here.
